Warranty 2026

2026 Warranty

Valid for 3 years from the original purchase date up to a maximum of  20.000 km per year or 50.000km for 3 years

Applicable on all new 2026 Mopetto Models frame 

This warranty covers all non-perishable parts and accessories supplied with the Mopetto 

 The original Mopetto Battery supplied from new is covered up to 800 charge cycles to a minimum of 80% of capacity for a maximum of 3 years from the date of manufacture (not the original purchase or registration date)

This warranty does not cover the following perishable parts:

Tires

Tubes

Brake Pads

Normal wear and tear, including paint or stickers, and areas around the folding and moveable joints

Second Owner

In the case of second hand or used goods not under ownership of original owner, warranty time will be 50% of the remaining warranty duration from when the Mopetto was first registered to the original owner. Verifiable title transfer from the original owner to the new owne completed on the Mopetto App and is verifiable including full-service history

For example:
If you purchase a used Mopetto one year after it was first registered by the original owner, you can expect 6 months warranty remaining.

  • Mopetto Approved Pre-Registered Warranties
  • All Mopetto Approved Pre-Registered mopeds come with 2 Year warranty from the date of purchase.
  • The Mopetto Pre-Registered Warranty is comparable to the Mopetto Manufacturer Warranty and subject to the same limitations and obligations
  • Used Mopetto purchased privately are entitled to the Secondary Ownership Warranty which consists of the remainder of the original Mopetto Manufacturer (where applicable) and/or the Mopetto Extended warranties on the following conditions:
  • All aforementioned warranty conditions and obligations have been meet and are identifiable and verifiable
  • Verifiable title transfer from the original owner to the new owne completed on the Mopetto App and is verifiable including full-service history

Terms & Conditions

 
  • Warranty will only apply with evidence of original purchase through an authorised agent and with the original owner of goods.
  • The Mopetto Warranty only applies to Mopetto models sold starting from 2026 with frame number 000765 and higher
  • The Mopetto Warranty does not cover the following:
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Improper assembly
  • Corrosion
  • Improper maintenance
  • Installation of components, parts or accessories not originally intended for or compatible with the moped sold
  • Damage or failure due to accident, misuse, neglect or usage outside of applicable test standards
  • Cosmetic scratches or non-structural blemishes
  • Labor charges for part replacement or changeover
  • Delivery, transfer or collection fees
  • Costs relating to lack of usage of the Mopetto while in transit or in a workshop for repair
  • In all cases, shipping costs, handling fees, border fees, customs fees, taxes, and extra shipping time will be the responsibility of the customer for the following regions: Norway, Switzerland, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia.
  • Warranty is voided entirely under the following circumstances:
  • In the event of full or partial flooding or submerging
  • Modifying the frame, fork or components
  • The manufacturer reserves the right to repair or replace any defective item at their discretion, as explicitly outlined in this warranty
  • If you elect to repair a defective product yourself, use the services of a non‐approved service agent, or if you use a replacement part not supplied by Mopetto , Mopetto will not be liable for any damage, failure, repair costs or loss caused by the use of such unauthorized service or parts and this may void the warranty.
  • Mopetto will have the option to repair or replace (with new or reconditioned parts of the same or similar specification), at no charge, a defective product, or repay the amount equal to the purchase price of the product. Mopetto may elect to simultaneously replace non‐defective parts that are part of a sub‐assembly that contains the defective component. Any replaced components, parts or accessories will become the property of Mopetto. In the event Mopetto elects to replace a defective frame, a new frame of equal or greater value will be provided. The new frame may not be the exact model purchased.
  • All warranty claims must be authorized by Mopetto
  • Warranty coverage commences from the initial date of purchase of the original owner
  • Unless restricted by local laws, Mopetto shall not be held accountable for any incidental or consequential damages
  • Claims initiated outside the original purchase country may be subject to fees and restrictions
  • For the avoidance of doubt and discrepancies due to language interpretation, English will be the prevailing language
  • In order for the warranty to be valid, the owner of the Mopetto must have a valid password protected email address registered to the owner on the Mopetto App

Intended Use and Specification

Mopetto is an electric mopeds developed in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Electric Mopeds Standard ISO 3833:1977 / DIN 70010 and is intended as a power‐assisted mopeds for sensible use by physically competent consumers. Mopetto products have been developed and designed for commuting usage and/or simple riding in fair weather, at speeds relevant to safe and appropriate travel in an urban or suburban environment and in accordance with mopetto published guidelines, including but not limited to information contained in technical specifications, Mopetto Owner’s Manual, Assembly and Operation Guides, service communications and media accessible from www.mopetto.eu.

End User Responsibility

The end user must acknowledge and act on the advice and recommendations published by mopetto, including but not limited to information contained in technical specifications, mopetto Owner’s Manual, Assembly and Operation Guides, service communications and media accessible from www.mopetto.eu. The end user agrees to register and monitor a valid password protected email address with mopettoon the mopetto App with their owned frame number before first usage and agrees to act on any safety or important service notifications sent to that email address.
